Walking The Walk
By the time I reach Davao in January it will have been almost exactly a year since I noted last February:
We're building a culture that will guide Philppine electricity reform policy - it's not going to be found in EPIRA or tweaks to it, nor in specific USAID advisors. The answers to adaptively developing changes in the sector are to be found in the "culture" that we have to develop. And since I dreamt of a Mindanao
hotbed for the free flow of ideas - for the open and active debate and development of progressive ideas.
I'm looking for remarkable collaborators to push these concepts forward. People who are not afraid of change.
You're probably in academe at locales distributed throughout the islands (the internet is a great way to connect us up). You're in NGOs, in government, with a utility, a private independent power producer, a large industry. I want to sit down with you and explore.
I'm just not getting this done from Sacramento. And I'm getting old. So I'm packing up my lean, mean, OS X machines and headed against the tide into the land of opportunity adventure.
